After working for several years in journalism in Canada, Russia, and the UK, she graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and articled as a judicial clerk at the Federal Court of Canada. After articling, she worked for several years in civil litigation in Ottawa and Toronto, before starting her own practice in a collaborative association with a group of like-minded professionals in Toronto.
